Executive Team

Yat-Pang Au

CEO & Founder

Mr. Au is an active member of the Coalition for Better Housing, San Francisco Apartment Association, Bay Area Council, and the National Multi Housing Council. He was named Multifamily Executive Magazine (MFE)’s 2017 Executive of the Year and received the 2018 Spirit of Life Award for philanthropy and community service by the Real Estate Committee of the City of Hope cancer research hospital.

Jeff Jerden

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Jerden oversees Veritas’ operations, marketing, property services and leasing. He has more than 15 years of experience in property management, asset management, and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Jerden served as Executive Vice President of Centennial Holding Company. He is also a Marshall Memorial Fellow, a leadership development program of the German Marshall Fund of the US.

Bryan Crane

Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Crane joined Veritas Investments in 2018 as its Regional President for Southern California, and alongside Mr. Au, co-founded Veritas Investments Los Angeles (“VILA”) in 2019. Mr. Crane now serves as President of VILA and Chief Investment Officer of Veritas Investments, Inc., and oversees all Investments, Portfolio Management, Asset Management and Development for the firm, and has shared oversight of Capital Markets. Over his 20-year real estate career, Mr. Crane has been directly involved in over $29 billion of Acquisitions, Dispositions, Work-Outs and Financings across the Office, Multifamily, Retail and Industrial sectors.

Daniel Reynolds

Senior Managing Director, Head of Capital Markets

Mr. Reynolds is Senior Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Veritas Investments. He is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with domestic and foreign institutional investors while raising capital for Veritas’ various investment activities.

Mr. Reynolds has over three decades of experience in investment banking and structured finance, and has worked with many of the top organizations in the investment industry, including major pension funds and public REITs. Since 1993 he has focused primarily on the real estate industry, representing institutional and commercial real estate owners, operators and developers in developing and implementing their capital strategies.

Joshua Zierten

Head of SF Bay Area Investments

Mr. Zierten has been with Veritas since 2014 and leads Veritas’ San Francisco Bay Area Investments and is also the Portfolio Manager responsible of the management of new ventures located in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has completed over $600 million in transactions with the firm. Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Zierten worked at W. P. Carey focused on financial analysis, transaction analysis, mergers & acquisitions, and launching new real estate investment vehicles.

Dan Chung

Chief Accounting Officer and Managing Director

Mr. Chung oversees all of Veritas’ accounting and risk management functions. He has more than 18 years of real estate and investment experience, both in privately held companies and publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs). Prior to joining Veritas, he served as the Assistant Controller of Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust and spent 6 years at Babcock & Brown where he served as Assistant Controller.

Monica Molina

Senior Vice President, Head of People & Culture

Ms. Molina leads the People and Culture team where she focuses on embedding the Veritas core values throughout the organization. In addition she’s responsible for the management of our physical office locations. Prior to joining Veritas, she spent over a decade at First Republic Bank and has a deep background in human resources technology, organizational strategy, corporate communications, workforce development, change management, and mergers and acquisitions.

Abu Ramin

Senior Vice President, Corporate Finance

Mr. Ramin has been with Veritas since 2016 where he leads the corporate finance department. Mr. Ramin has 16+ years of real estate and finance experience including investment management and financial services.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Ramin helped manage the portfolios of two national real estate investment firms.




Leadership Team

Stéphanie Versin

Senior Vice President, Marketing and Leasing

Ms. Versin joined in 2022 and leads the Marketing and Leasing functions at Veritas. Her knowledge in real estate, hospitality, and business marketing supports a seamless customer-centric experience while leveraging the firm’s tech-forward infrastructure.

With over 20 years of experience in marketing, communications, and sales leadership, she held senior positions at international organizations in the hospitality industry such as Accor Hotels, Hyatt, and Kimpton Hotels. Ms. Versin holds an MBA from NEOMA Business School in France. Her expertise in real estate, hospitality, and business marketing is instrumental in unifying sales and marketing at Veritas.

Jay Pedde

Senior Vice President, Operations

Mr. Pedde joined Veritas in 2016 and currently oversees Property Management, Capital Improvements, Unit Renovations and the Repairs & Maintenance team. He has created a collaborative team environment stressing the use of technology to create transparency and efficiency. Mr. Pedde is currently serving as the Chairperson of the Senior Leadership Team.

Mr. Pedde has over 25 years of real estate experience. Prior to joining Veritas, he served as the Director of Construction Operations at The Laramar Group and previous to that was a Principal at DTS, a land use planning firm in Denver focused on single family residential development and land surveying.

Anil Singh

Senior Vice President, Technology

Mr. Singh is the head of Technology overseeing all aspects of information security, infrastructure and network operations, business intelligence, enterprise applications, and cloud-based software development. He is responsible for driving strategic, innovative technology solutions throughout Veritas and its affiliates.

Mr. Singh has over 20 years of Technology experience with both public and privately held companies. Prior to joining Veritas, he held key technology leadership roles with investment bank Houlihan Lokey and Asset Management firm Ares Management with $145 billion in Asset Under Management.

Justin Anstey

Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management

Since joining Veritas in 2014, Mr. Anstey has successfully directed efforts to close over $3 billion in equity and debt recapitalizations. In his current role as V.P. of Portfolio Management, he is tasked with leading all Capital Markets and Asset Management related activities within his 2,500 unit portfolio. He is intimately involved in the creation and execution of the business plan for his portfolio, always with a keen eye on creating value and maximizing returns for our Investors.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Anstey started his career at iStar Financial, a REIT based in New York City, as a part of the debt originations team. More recently, he worked for United Growth, a developer based in Marin County, where he was responsible for underwriting all of the firm’s acquisition and development projects.

Richard Bravin

Senior Vice President, Portfolio Management

Mr. Bravin is responsible for the portfolio performance of one of Veritas’s key investor relationships. Always the explorer, his real estate career has taken him from California to Eastern Europe and back, and through a range of fields, including entrepreneurship, investment strategy, acquisitions, lending and urban planning.

Aaron Reuter

Senior Vice President, Investments

Mr. Reuter focuses on multifamily investment activities for the Bay Area with a particular focus on San Francisco and Oakland. He has more than 15 years of real estate experience and has held senior roles in asset management, portfolio management, and debt capital markets. Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Reuter held senior positions at Swift Real Estate Partners, The Green Cities Company, and Prologis.

Tracy Lo

Vice President, Corporate Tax

Ms. Lo oversees all income tax related matters at Veritas, including managing the income tax compliance and advising on the tax implications of acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations, and other transactions. She has over 15 years of tax experience, specializing in real estate and partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic tax planning.

Mila Shimko

Vice President, Asset Management

Ms. Shimko joined Veritas in 2014 and is responsible for overseeing asset management activities, developing and executing investment strategies for the company’s assets in the Bay Area. She has been actively involved in the management of multifamily real estate for over 19 years. Prior to joining Veritas, Ms. Shimko served in various roles at The Laramar Group, where she oversaw a range of asset types including new development, stabilized, and value-add communities across the United States.

Jorge Livermore

Vice President, Asset Management

Mr. Livermore joined Veritas in 2020 and brings with him more than 18 years of real estate and investment experience. In his current role, he is responsible for the day-to-day execution of value creation business plans for two institutionally backed portfolios totaling 2,400 multifamily units.

Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Livermore worked for multifamily and senior housing investment firms focused on acquisitions, asset management, and capital raising.
