This in-house team offers investors a powerful skill set that includes in-depth knowledge of local property markets, a far-reaching network of industry contacts and lending relationships, and expertise in navigating the Bay Area's complex property-related ordinances and regulatory processes.

Executive Team

  • Yat-Pang Au

    Yat-Pang Au, CEO & Founder

    A Bay Area native with 20 years of real estate investment and management experience, Mr. Au has led Veritas Investments since founding the Company in 2007. He is responsible for the operations of the firm and its subsidiaries. Prior to founding Veritas, Mr. Au was CEO of AEC Alarms and held executive positions at several technology firms.

    Active member of Coalition for Better Housing, San Francisco Apartment Association, Bay Area Council, National Multi Housing Council, and the Young Presidents’ Organization; and Multifamily Executive Magazine (MFE)’s 2017 Executive of the Year.

  • Roger Snell

    Roger Snell, Chief Investment Officer

    Mr. Snell oversees the firm's investments, developments, and capital formation activities. He has more than two decades of real estate experience, during which he has acquired, developed and financed $13bn in properties.

    He serves as audit chair and member of the board of directors for a public REIT sponsored by CIM Group and was formerly chairman and CEO of two other public REITs: Peregrine Real Estate Trust and Perini Investment Properties.

  • Nina A. Tran

    Nina A. Tran, Chief Financial Officer

    Mrs. Tran oversees Veritas’ finance and accounting, people and culture, technology, and business process improvement activities. She has more than 25 years of real estate and financial management experience, both in private and public REITs. Formerly, she served as the Chief Financial Officer of Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust and spent 18 years at AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis, Inc.), where she served as Chief Global Process Officer and Chief Accounting Officer.

    Mrs. Tran serves on the board of directors for AIMCO.

  • Justin Sato

    Justin Sato, Chief Operating Officer

    Mr. Sato leads the portfolio management and corporate strategy of Veritas. Mr. Sato has nearly two decades of experience for both privately held real estate companies and publicly traded real estate investment trusts, encompassing over $6 billion of apartments totaling 80,000 units nationwide.

    Previously he served in executive roles at The Laramar Group and United Dominion Realty Trust.

  • Bryan Crane

    Bryan Crane, Regional President – Southern California

    Mr. Crane oversees all investment and asset management for Southern California. He has more than 16 years of real estate experience during which he has been directly involved in over $28bn of acquisitions, dispositions, work-outs, and financings. Formerly, he was Managing Director and Co-Head of Acquisitions for the Western Region for Clarion Partners. He has also held leadership positions at Artemis, Rockwood Capital, JPMorgan, and Lehman Brothers.

  • Andrew Silverman

    Andrew Silverman, Senior Vice President, Operations

    Mr. Silverman leads Product quality and experience, including oversight of unit turnover, leasing, marketing, and analytics.  He oversees and directs day-to-day management of Veritas’ property management and leasing departments. He further focuses on operational technology integration and driving innovative and efficient upgrades to business systems.

    He has focused his 25-year real estate career on both start-up and development opportunities most recently managing portfolio operations and new development with Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust. Prior to that he was central to the founding and growth of Zeta Communities and Community Builders.

  • Josh Zierten

    Josh Zierten, Vice President, Investments & Portfolio Management

    Mr. Zierten has been with Veritas since 2014 and is an investment officer focusing on both property acquisitions and dispositions. He has completed over $400 million in transactions with the firm. Prior to joining Veritas, Mr. Zierten worked at W. P. Carey in the Strategic Planning Group analyzing strategic transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and launching new real estate fund vehicles.

  • Richard Bravin

    Richard Bravin, Vice President, Portfolio Management

    Mr. Bravin is responsible for the portfolio performance of one of Veritas’s key investor relationships. Always the explorer, his real estate career has taken him from California to Eastern Europe and back, and through a range of fields, including entrepreneurship, investment strategy, acquisitions, lending and urban planning.

  • Justin Antsey

    Justin Anstey, Vice President, Portfolio Management

    Since joining Veritas in 2014, Justin has successfully directed efforts to close over $3 billion in equity and debt recapitalizations. In his current role as V.P. of Portfolio Management, Justin is tasked with leading all Capital Markets and Asset Management related activities within his ~ 2.500 unit portfolio. Justin is intimately involved in the creation and execution of the business plan for his portfolio, always with a keen eye on creating value and maximizing returns for our Investors.

    Prior to joining Veritas, Justin started his career at iStar Financial, a REIT based in New York City, as a part of the debt originations team. More recently, Justin worked for United Growth, a developer based in Marin County, where he was responsible for underwriting all of the firm’s acquisition and development projects.

  • Bill Kalff

    Bill Kalff, Vice President, Development

    Mr. Kalff is a Senior Executive in residential, retail, hospitality and commercial construction with an emphasis on client advocacy, business and finance management. He has over 25 years of extensive international and domestic experience provides a proven track record in operation efficiencies, quality delivery of services, and cost controls, while achieving profitable results. From strategic planning and design, through execution he has been the lead executive at the helm. Known as a creative and strategic thinker, successful negotiator, and excellent project and people manager.

  • Matt Leedham

    Matt Leedham, Vice President, Technology

    Mr. Leedham leads the Technology team, overseeing network operations, business applications and cloud-based software development. He is responsible for driving strategic, innovative technology solutions throughout Veritas and its affiliates.

    Matt has over 20 years of real estate technology experience with both public and privately held companies including 13 years at AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis, Inc.) and 4 years at Divco West Real Estate Investments.

  • Dan Yoshida

    Dan Yoshida, Vice President, Controller

    Mr. Yoshida oversees all of Veritas’ accounting and risk management functions. He has more than 18 years of real estate and investment experience, both in privately held companies and publicly traded real estate investment trusts (REITs). Prior to joining Veritas, he served as the Assistant Controller of Starwood Waypoint Residential Trust and spent 6 years at Babcock & Brown where he served as Assistant Controller.

  • Gabriel Quezada

    Gabriel Quezada, Vice President, Investments & Asset Management - Southern California

    Gabriel Quezada is a Vice President focused on investments and asset management for Southern California. Before joining the firm, Gabriel was Director at Turner Impact Capital. As part of his role within the firm’s multifamily housing investment activities, Gabriel was responsible for deal origination, due diligence, financing, asset management, and social/environmental impact initiatives and programs. Previously, Gabriel served as Vice President at AIG Global Real Estate (AIGGRE), focused on opportunistic investment opportunities in both their Los Angeles and New York City offices. Gabriel began his professional career with Trimont Real Estate Advisors, working on a broad range of real estate transactions including residential, retail, hospitality, multifamily, office and industrial development projects. Later, he worked with TVP Asset, Inc., managing joint ventures and opportunistic real estate investments throughout the western United States before taking time to return to MIT to complete his formal education.

  • Monica Molina

    Monica Molina, Director of People & Culture

    Ms. Molina leads the People and Culture team where she focuses on imbedding the Veritas core values throughout the organization. In addition she’s responsible for the management of our physical office locations. Prior to joining Veritas, she spent over a decade at First Republic Bank and has a deep background in human resources technology, organizational strategy, corporate communications, workforce development, change management, and mergers and acquisitions.
