Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for creating a detailed scope of work documentation, ensure safety compliance, quality control, and general construction administration. The position is responsible for performing site surveys, creating and updating project schedules, provide direction to the General Contractor to prevent delays or escalation of issues. Performs administrative tasks such as preparing management reports, preparing quotes and cost estimates. The position serves as the primary contact for Property Management, Asset Management, and other client representatives.

Essential Job Functions

  • Establishes expectations and negotiate agreements with General Contractor
  • Serves as the lead on each project to coordinate and supervise the execution of the total scope of work
  • Manages all phases of the construction process from scoping to process standards to quality control
  • Provides and manages construction reporting and forecasting
  • Collaborates with other client representatives, including Leasing, Property Management, and Asset Management

Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced communications, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Strong analytical skills and Excel knowledge
  • Ability to analyze construction schedules, cost estimates, and manage to budgetary requirements
  • Ability to give direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, build consensus, anticipate roadblocks, and work in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple duties, projects, and work assignments
  • Ability to conduct project site visits and operate in a technology driven environment


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
  • High degree of initiative and self-motivation; strong problem solving skills
  • Experience managing multiple, multi-regional projects with different General Contractor
  • Ability to anticipate change and consistently meet deadlines in dynamic environment
  • Ability to travel to visit sites and projects under construction
  • Ability to work on-call, after hours, weekend, and on emergency calls
  • Must be able to be underwritten by the Company’s auto insurance
